SEEC Receives Order for Gasification Project in the Dominican Republic

Hazlet, NJ 7/24/2012  Superior Central Boiler (SEEC), a worldwide supplier of Commercial/Industrial Boilers has received an order from Agrifeed, S.A.S. located in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.  The order was for one (1) 200 HP Packaged, Steam Boiler manufactured by Superior Boiler Works of Hutchinson, Kansas.  The boiler will be fitted with a Specialty Waste Gas Burner manufactured by Webster Engineering and Manufacturing of Winfield, Kansas.

The boiler will be incorporated into a Waste Gasification System designed and manufactured by Biogen.  SEEC has been working closely with Biogen since late 2011 on selecting the appropriate boiler/burner package to use for this application.  The burner is an alternate fuel burner that will be designed to burn the Syngas supplied by the Gasification Process.  The Syngas will be able to be mixed with Liquid Propane Gas supplement the BTU Values at Lower Firing Rates.

Todd Miller, the company’s V.P. and Director of Export Operations was quoted as saying, “To our knowledge, this Burner is the first of its kind in the Dominican Republic and most likely Latin America.  We are proud to have been selected to work with Biogen on the Agrifeed project and hope to build a long standing and mutually beneficial relationship with their group”.

The boiler/burner package is slated for shipment in October 2012.
